Belgian Data Spaces Day 2024
Join our Belgian IDSA Hub facilitator Imec for their Belgian Data Spaces Day in Brussels on May 27, 2024! Building on the previous event in 2023 which presented a high-level overview of data spaces, this year’s focus shifts to the practical implementations. Hosted by the Belgian Data Spaces Alliance — a collaboration among key stakeholders in Belgium’s data space development — this event is an ideal platform for networking with peers and industry experts.
Dive deep into the workings of data spaces across various domains with a special emphasis on the business, technical, and legal building blocks essential for successful data space applications. The day will feature dedicated sessions exploring:
Software & infrastructure
Manufacturing, supply chains & logistics
Skills & lifelong learning
Energy & water
Mobility
Personal data space
Naturally, IDSA is supporting this event and will provide valuable contributions: Christoph Mertens, Head of Adoption at IDSA, will give a concise description of the steps companies take to achieve economic success with a data space. Silvia Castellvi, IDSA’s Director Research & Standardization, will present a very essential data space element: the Dataspace Protocol and why it is such a key factor in achieving interoperability within a data space.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get insights and engage with leading projects and specialists in the field of data spaces: Register now!

Data Spaces Symposium 2024
Exciting Collaboration at the Data Spaces Symposium 2024! Great minds came together in Darmstadt at the Data Spaces Symposium 2024! #LNDS, #LIST, #NTTDATA_EMEA, #NTTDATA_Japan, #UniversityofTokyo, and #Luxinnovation, along with NTT DATA Luxembourg, joined forces to work on the Dataspace testbed integration between Japan and Luxembourg.
This innovative project, built by the University of Tokyo and NTT DATA Japan in Japan, and Luxembourg National Data Services, Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technologies (LIST), and NTT DATA Luxembourg, creates a secure platform for data exchange. Initially targeting the healthcare sector, the testbed specifically supports the Luxembourg Gaia-X lighthouse candidate: Lux-XDataspace4Health. This paves the way for future collaboration in analyzing the spread of diseases between Asia and Europe, and many other healthcare use cases. This federated ecosystem is designed to expand beyond healthcare. In the future, it will serve multiple cross-sector use cases and be open to many other industries. We're thrilled about the potential of this collaboration and look forward to sharing further developments! #DataSpaces #Lux-XDataspace4Health #DigitalTransformation.
